Campobasso 1919 today announced the signing of veteran Italian football executive Pino De Filippis as Sporting Director.
De Fillipis has won league championships at the 4th and 5th tier level and is one of the most respected talent scouts in central and southern Italy. Previously, De Fillipis served as Sporting Director of Picerno, Vastese and Monticelli.
“We would like to welcome Pino to the Campobasso 1919 family,” said Matt Rizzetta, Chairman of North Sixth Group, parent company of Campobasso 1919. “With the team starting late this season, Pino has done a masterful job of getting up to speed quickly and beginning to assemble a team that we believe will compete immediately for promotion to Serie D.”
