Campobasso 1919 today announced the signing of Italian coaching veteran Pino Di Meo as the club’s head coach for the 2022-23 season.
Di Meo has a 20-plus year winning track record of coaching championship teams at various levels of Italian football, including the 4th and 5th tier level. Di Meo has coached several teams from around the Campobasso area, including Chieti, Giulianova and Andria.
“We are pleased to welcome Pino to the Campobasso 1919 family,” said Matt Rizzetta, Chairman of North Sixth Group, parent company of Campobasso 1919. “Pino’s track record speaks for itself. Our goal is to immediately assemble a world-class team ready for promotion to Serie D, and we believe Pino is the perfect leader to kickstart our project as we build a special team for Campobasso fans for years to come.”
